Technology at its Best

Under the guise of a web design company, I-Vee planned to launch an attack once again, to gain control of the world through the internet. The ambition to dominate cyberspace and therefore rule the world has been burnt into his heart and soul since he found out about the power of the computer and the internet.

The last attack has been averted by Cynth and her friends, a group of programmers, system and web developers as well one or two hackers. He had underestimated their strength and intelligence. Now I-Vee planned to hit while they were still resting from the exhaustion of their rescue efforts. I-Vee realised that the sites that have the highest traffic were those dealing with on-line gaming and buying on-line. Most people are by nature greedy, so if he were to offer free advertising on-line with guarantee of high traffic to business owners or individuals, it would entice them into his trap.

His team of programmers had already infiltrated a number of the on-line gaming hot spots and the popular buying on-line sites. On these sites, he also had them promoting a new website which offered free advertising on-line. Once the users clicked on any of these sites, a virus which he had created would attach to their user id, and gain access to their computers and servers. Passwords and confidential information would then be transferred to his servers. The beauty is, no one would trace it back to him. Any back-tracking or diagnostic investigation would only lead them back to either the on-line gaming or buying on-line site.

There were now only two areas to be perfected. The advertising on-line site was overloaded - the overwhelming response was totally unexpected. His team was still working on that. The second concern was the amount of transferred information that he planned to pilfer from the computers and servers. He had to work on a method of segregating important from useless information. Once that is sorted out, he would be ready to hit the world while it is still sitting comfortably, unaware that they would soon bow to a new King!
