Technology at its Best

While I was browsing the Internet for some ways to earn money online, I came across a site which was talking about affiliate marketing. The site has numerous products and we have to advertise the products and sell them. Till then I was unaware of on-line shopping sites like e-bay. I browsed the Internet and researched on the on-line shopping procedures. I understood that we need to have a website in order to advertise these products or sell them. My friend advised me to download software which will help me in website designing.

I opened the site to download the web designing software and clicked on download button. It prompted me to enter my email address. I was hesitating to give my email address as I was afraid of junk email. However i went ahead and gave the email and other details and waited the download to begin. After downloading the software I created a website and placed the affiliate products and started advertising the products but I could get very little traffic to my site. Adding to my woes, my inbox was filled with junk email. I was not sure if the emails are coming from the site from which I have downloaded the software to build my website. I put a filter in my junk email folder but still I was receiving emails from new addresses though not much compared with earlier emails.

Later my friend informed me that there is a site which drives traffic to my website and that site specifically drives traffic to on-line shopping sites. I purchased advertisements from that site and started publishing my affiliate products. My website was getting more hits day by day but I was not able to convert these hits into sales. My first sale happened after 21 days. It was the sale of a watch and I received 20$ for that sale. Later I understood that online sales do not happen in one day. It is a continuous process and we have to keep advertising our site and bring visitors to our site. If we get 1000 visitors to our site per day, we might end up with a sale or 2. However once our site is popular, the sales will automatically rise.
