Technology at its Best

I am bored. I don' have anything to do one Saturday afternoon, so I opened my laptop, surfed some websites and watched my favorite tv program via the internet. Good thing my internet provider allows online video streaming, unlike the other internet provider. But I believe they have a moderator in this kind of thing. They sometimes block downloading of the program, although you can still watch it, but you cannot save it to your computer. I continued to browse when a certain website caught my attention. The web designing was enticing and I cannot help but pry into it. Actually it was not an ordinary site, it is a forum wherein you can freely evince all your thoughts and ideas. You can cogitate, debate or altercate about anything under the sun. I found it really alluring and so I signed up to this program or forum. Luckily the site is not prohibited by my internet provider. As I was going through the topics and browsed through the discussions, I found some inputs quite disturbing and offensive. Good thing there is a moderator, the moderator blocks loathsome and abhorrent comments and languages. Certain subjects are atrocious and odious but some are pleasing and laudatory. Also, you can meet all kinds of people on this site. There are people who are undaunting and respectable while some people are lowbrow and boorish, these are the people who gives coarse and rude comments on certain things. On the other hand, the nice members are the once giving intelligent and refined comments. You can see the irony of things when going through the threads of the site. You can see both worlds, the good and the bad. The rich and the poor. Your awareness to almost every issue in the world is honed by all these ideas that you read. All the opinions and points of view helps in enlightening your mind on things that seemed vague and unclear. I was thankful for coming across this site. It is quite helpful and at the same time entertaining. My boredom flew and I was kinda surprised that it is almost midnight. Time flew, maybe because I was so engrossed to this new found website. Thanks to it, something will occupy my bored mind.
