I had always been interested in webdesign and so I decided to buy myself a laptop. It wasn't the first laptop I had bought, but I had decided , through various different specifications, that it was the laptop for me. I couldn't wait to get home, make a user name, and start working on the website.

"The default user name is Admin" said the shopkeeper.

"Yes, I know" I said.

I was known well as a computer nerd. I'd spend hours every day scouring the internet, downloading files to my desktop just so I had easier access to them whenever I needed them. Some I never used, so they just sat on my desktop gathering dust. But it didn't matter, I had the harddrive space to cope with these extra files.

"User name - Admin

Password - *********" I typed.

*Bing*

The computer logged in.

It was actually quite quick, considering it didnt really have a fast processor. I wasn't bothered though, I could have waited for it, after all, I had waited two weeks for it to be delivered.

The desktop was already cluttered with junk. Unnecessary files that I wouldn't need. After all, this wasn't a brand new laptop. It was refurbished. Cheaper. A lot cheaper.

I didn't really do much productively that day, rather just sat formatting the harddrive and waiting for my own files to install. After all, I didn't really need much on this laptop, only the necessary programs to help my web development, you know, like Dreamweaver and such.

The next day, I got up bright and early to start on my website. I hadn't really got much done the day before, only a starter home page and basic pages after that. Today, I was really going to make my website worth viewing. Awesome banners, brilliant layouts and a fantastic skin that even God would be proud of using. I had these already saved on a pen drive, previously created on my other laptop before it died.

I rushed breakfast, exstatic to get on the laptop and finish my website. But as I clicked login, the inevitable happened.

Blue screen. Of Death.

That's the downside of refurbished.
